European Culture Forum has ended with huge success and participation of guests from all over Europe. Among the many happenings which took place during the event, there was also the Game Jam, organized in collaboration with EFGAMP. The theme of the Game Jam was directly inspired by this year’s tagline of the event: Our heritage. Where the past meets the future. The same theme was given to the Game Jam contestants, which interpreted it in many diverse and interesting ways.
The challenge of the Game Jam was accepted by representatives of many different Countries, such as United Kingdom, Italy, Poland and France. All of the six projects were interesting and creative, but only three were chosen and invited on stage. Here below you can find the description:
Third place: The Last Song on Earth
Inspired by games such as Flower and Journey, this is a simplified metroidvania where you pilot an alien spaceship looking for the remnants of mankind, inside a post-apocalyptic Earth.
Second place: Hashtag History
Pokémon GO meets culture: an application that lets the player discover important landmarks and monuments, while enjoying funny conversation with historical figures.
First place: Design David
An interactive piece of remix culture: the player needs to combine the different parts of the famous statue of David by Michelangelo, giving life to strange hybrids and creations.
More materials about the games will be published in the next hours.
