Tuesday 26th June, the High-level Conference “Cultural heritage in Europe: linking past and future”, took place inside the European Parliament in Brussels. The conference saw also the participation of EFGAMP, which presence remarked the cultural value of Video Games inside an institutional context.
Along with their representatives, EFGAMP members VIGAMUS – The Video Game Museum of Rome and MO5.COM were also present. MO5.COM curated the Exhibition on the history of games, which can be seen in the subsequent photo. The conference was an important occasion to underline the importance of the challenge of preserving the digital heritage, while at the same time stating in front of the institutions that an international network such as EFGAMP exists.
This was a pivotal moment for our Federation, which had the occasion to demonstrate to such an audience the importance of the cultural recognization of Video Games, an art form with more than 60 years of history, and an industry capable of joining the technological and humanistic excellences of the European Countries.
